On Saturday, August 20, 2022, HealthJox founder – Dewry DuRoi Bradford celebrated the 5th<\/sup> year anniversary of the Healthjox Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park – (pier 2) with a multi-tiered health & sports experience all for FREE.\u00a0 Consistently producing this free community event for New York citizens since 2018, they continue with multi-sport offerings of basketball clinics & games, pickle-ball, airodart, roller-skating, and a host of life-size board games, face painting and balloon twisting<\/em> for the whole family.\u00a0 In attendance, they had the NYPD, FDNY, Uncle Chase, Coach Ted Gustus, Judge Suzanne Adams, Voice of My City and a slew of ball players and participants throughout the day.\u00a0 Performing on the court with DJ Big Cal on the set, was Jared SB, Jules Juda, One, Nuu Knynez and Milo.<\/p>\n

HealthJox Festival, which was initially launched on Saturday, August 25th<\/sup>\u00a0at Kaiser Park – Coney Island has morphed\u00a0into one of the most coveted events during the summer.\u00a0 Each year, HealthJox\u00a0hosts over 500 attendees with a multi-tiered sports experience. Attendees enjoyed a healthy day of basketball clinics hosted by the Brooklyn Nets<\/em><\/strong>; basketball games hosted by Zak Solomon Miller – Knickerbockers All-Stars<\/em><\/strong>; AirOdart clinic and games hosted by Coach Ted Gustus<\/em><\/strong>; workout with celebrity trainer Jerry Joseph<\/em><\/strong>;\u00a0 Event Coordinator – Claudia Lyons<\/em> <\/strong>hosted life-size board games, mini-basketball, Jenga, life-size Connect 4 & Dominoes, sea-saw, potato-sack race, face-painting, and other cool-attractions for the kids.<\/p>\n

HealthJox Foundation and Pastor Denise Hall of “Clothed with Love” provided Youth with bags, school supplies and swag.<\/p><\/div>\n

There were live performances throughout the day while Youth & Adults took to the court for the annual Healthjox basketball tournaments.\u00a0 There were girls, boys and adult teams all playing for trophies and years’ worth of bragging rights!\u00a0 During the festival there was healthy food provided by\u00a0Cathy Ramos from Exuding Wellness<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>and Fruits and drinks provided by\u00a0Claudia Lyons and Foodtown.<\/i>\u00a0<\/strong> Water was provided by\u00a0Pepsico & Foodtown. Pastor Denise Hall – founder of Clothed With Love<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>donated back-packs and after-school items by Jansport.\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0Attendees enjoyed cooling-station for comfort. Overall, attendees enjoyed a full health day with family and friends while staying hydrated.<\/p>\n

Notably,\u00a0Exousia Cathedral’s Missionary Bishop Lester Bradford<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>was awarded a Citation from\u00a0Mayor Eric Adams\u00a0<\/i><\/strong>for his continues missions work in the City of New York.\u00a0 The\u00a0Brooklyn Borough President – Antonio Reynoso<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>awarded HealthJox Festival and Healthjox Foundation, Inc’s founder –\u00a0Dewry DuRoi Bradford\u00a0<\/i><\/strong>the official Proclamation naming Saturday, August 20, 2022 the 5th<\/sup>\u00a0year anniversary of HealthJox Festival.<\/p>\n
