And following the May 6thvirtual screening, student filmmakers will be invited to virtual discussions with industry professionals.<\/p>\n<div class=\"kt-blog-post__content\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-8\">\n<p>Submitted films must be 5 minutes or less, and in .mp4 or .mov format. Films must use only original or public domain music. No nudity, profanity or violent acts are permitted. Youth filmmakers <b>must\u00a0<\/b>play the major creative role on the production of the submitted works \u2014 as directors, writers, and\/or editors. Teacher directed, produced or generated works will not be considered. Submission categories are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Animation<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Short feature\/narrative<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Documentary<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Experimental<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>P.S.A.\/Advocacy<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Films will be selected and notification given by mid-April 2021. Online resources will be posted in the new year to support filmmakers with the technical and storytelling aspects.
